A Call for Next Narrative

I have been promising a project (to myself mostly) about New Narrative. Not a history project (though that is something in need of being written if for no other reason than to create an official version with which to engage) but an interaction with New Narrative by writers whose work comes out of the New Narrative world.

My interest is personal and particular. I studied with Bob (Robert Gluck) at SF State and then in his private workshop (post Small Press Traffic). I was also part of Camille Roy's post Bob workshop for a number of years and am still (whenever she has them) an active member of Dodie Bellamy's workshop. This past fall in Dodie's workshop I began writing about an un-dead Steve Abbott's encounters with Dodie, Kevin and Drew (this Drew). I quickly became interested in this way of engaging with New Narrative and am interested in other writing that is doing this.

And so my call for what I now calling Next Narrative with the intent of making something that collects this writing (in print or online) to be called "Next Narrative: Writers Engaging with New Narrative."

Post or send comments and queries and let the evolution begin!
